We can’t say for sure, but according to the Taiwan Times, in Taiwan, the number of people who work in sports and entertainment are nearly equal to those who work on the assembly line.
According to the report, the Taiwanese average weekly salary is $5,900, with an average annual salary of $2,500.
The Taiwan Times also points out that most of the Taiwanese workers work in media, including sports.
As of January 2018, the Taiwan Sports Commission reported that it had 819 employees, the most of any sport or entertainment agency in Taiwan.
Taiwan sports leagues have grown in popularity in recent years, and Taipei has hosted several international tournaments in the last few years.
